About

Who I Am

Hi, I'm Rachel Graber, LMSW — founder of Graber Wellness Collective. Whether I'm sitting with one person in therapy, facilitating a workshop, or building a program from the ground up, the same thing guides me: genuine curiosity about the people in front of me, and a belief that the work is shaped around them.

Origin

Why I Do This Work

Long before I knew what I wanted to do professionally, I knew I wanted to work with people. What shaped my path even more was understanding, firsthand, what it means to need support during the hardest moments of life — and how much it matters when the people who show up for you do so with compassion and care.

Over time, I discovered the work I felt called to do extended beyond individual sessions — into workshops, groups, and programs built from the ground up. I've seen how one person's willingness to be open can change the energy in an entire room. That's exactly why Graber Wellness Collective brings therapy, coaching, workshops, and consulting together under one practice.

I take a whole-person approach — the work reflects who you actually are, not just the issue that brought you here. You can be yourself here without fear of judgment. I don't believe shame has any place in growth. You're the expert on your own experience; I'm simply here to walk beside you — asking questions, noticing patterns, offering perspective — while the choices that matter stay yours.

Not simply, “What's wrong with me?”

But, “Where did this come from, and what would I like to choose instead?”

Credentials

My Professional Background

I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I began my career in behavioral health treatment, supporting adults through trauma, addiction, recovery, identity, and relationships — providing individual, group, and family therapy for three years.

One experience that shaped me most was building and running an evening program for adults navigating co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns — from the curriculum to the everyday details of care. I'm currently working towards becoming a certified NARM therapist, and have been mentored in Somatic Experiencing and Psychodrama facilitation.

Who I Work With

I work with adults navigating all kinds of challenges, including:

AnxietyTraumaAddictionBurnoutPerfectionismSelf-EsteemRelationship ChallengesIdentity Exploration…and more.

I'm also especially drawn to supporting people in demanding careers, creative industries, leadership roles, recovery, and major life transitions — people who carry a lot, and don't always have space to be fully honest about it.

Beyond the Practice

I come from a big music family, and music has always been how we connect — a shared love that's given me a real sense of belonging.

I also love reading fiction — it normalizes so many deeply human experiences, and reminds us we're not alone in them. When I need to feel grounded, I'm often drawn to the ocean, a good book, or live music.

A Final Thought

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes the first thing you notice is simply that something feels off, or a pattern keeps repeating. I believe that's enough of a place to start.

My role is to create space where you can notice, question, and gain insight about what you've been carrying, what's shaped you, and what you're ready to choose next. Growth isn't about acquiring something out of reach — it's about building the capacity to access what's already there.
